They believed their support had enough consequence that they could leverage a big pay day out of the deal. But now you're telling me their was no value in their support?
My memory is blurry, but didn’t the JetBlue Pilots publicly support the merger only after something in return? The JetBlue F/A’s did. I think Spirit MEC was wanting something possibly JetBlue pilot pay parity in the TPA before officially supporting the merger I think. I think they won’t support it now, because it probably wouldn’t budge the needle enough and would just make them look desperate in the process.
