I would bet you can’t do any work while on VEBA, but I really don’t know. Getting paid 90 hrs doesn’t seem unreasonable to me for a negotiator during that time period either.
I'm Sorry I must have read the "Request for VOLUNTEERS" wrong, I didn't see the part that you will be PAID for all ALPA time. I think the memo was incorrect, it should read as follows: "Request for Employees of the MEC", you will be paid and the best part is your hours are not tracked.
