The engine failed right After takeoff. Rather than building time, the captain wanted an immediate landing. I would hardly call a go-around from 10 miles out or even the OM the same as a low level go around. Enjnge failures on final are a grey area, but this wasn't that. And I don't know what you mean by failed. This was a real life event and training was recommended by the ERC.
