Should XJT be allowed to fail (and I say allowed, because obviously there are options), then yes, Jerry will pick up the pieces and have his way with them.

But that scenario is not guaranteed. Did you even read CAL's letter? Its obvious they are using JA to whipsaw XJT. If they are successful they will have savings on the "magnitude" that SKW has offered through XJT as an independent airline or through SKW. Its a negotiating tactic and they have left the door open for XJT to come to terms with CAL. What is it you don't understand about that?

Even if a deal is made between XJT and SKW, according to JA letter its contingent on not integrating pilots. He can't have that without negotiating it. Let me remind you that that is what we are talking about here since you ignored the rest of my reply to you and only quoted the last sentence, he CANNOT have his way with us regardless of what you think.

Again, this is not to say that an agreement to everyone's satisfaction cannot be agreed upon. This is not necessarily a bad thing for XJT depending on what is negotiated.
