Why would they do that? Everyone is acting like this is going to be some ground breaking change. It's new seats and a couple of flourishes around the cabin. That's it. They look a lot like the prison seats on the United Max, which is an awful product. The seats they currently have on the 800 and Max were given the same treatment back in 2016 time frame. They are Recaro seats too. Have you ever sat in those seats on a long flight? They suck. These will too.
The product that we currently offer on new airplanes is perfectly average, which is the customer demographic SWA is going after. It takes time and a lot of money to take those planes out of service in order to replace an average product with another new average product. This will be just like the paint jobs. It's a full 10 years since they started repainting planes and I think there are still a few canyon blue 700s out there.
