If a new hire gets GUM and is able to vacancy out of it, what is the max time possible a pilot would have to stay in GUM before their vacancy award is activated? In other terms, if someone gets GUM day 1 of training and they JUST missed a vacancy and have to wait for the next one, then wait for activation how long would one truly be stuck commuting to GUM?
The Jan vacancy has an activation date of the June bid period (May 31). The early September vacancy had an activation of the December bid period. So…it kind of depends.
