Not the case in Hawaii to a large degree because it’s as if Anchorage was Alaska Airlines but with 3 aircraft types. Hawaiian is made up those born or transplants. Some commuters, but most of them get the culture. It’s more than an airline, because it really represents a place.
Have a few close friends at Hawaiian and I would certainly agree that their culture is more intact than Alaska’s which is undeniably more fragmented. But even they’ve seen the changes in the last few years amongst the new-hires that aren’t quite assimilating.
