I submitted my application Dec. 9th and haven’t heard anything. I’m concerned about the current slowdown in hiring and my lack of recent flying. Got out of the military 18 months ago and have only been flying GA (10 hours total in last year). Here's some info:
MIL pilot with 4000+ total time
3800 TT/PIC
Current ATP and Med
No check ride failures
Spotless record and bachelors degree
6 DL pilot referrals
How long have folks been waiting after application submission to hear something?
Anybody in my same boat with low recency hours?
Congrats on your new found freedom, I got out about the same time. You may not be hearing back for 2 reasons:
-App not reviewed/ don't have all the right buzzwords and formatting in there.
-Recency
In the past there have been discussions about it here and I can't pinpoint the exact post but recency is for sure something they look at. By the way if/when you interview make sure you have a good answer for this 18 month break, almost 100% chance they ask.
