I submitted my application Dec. 9th and haven’t heard anything. I’m concerned about the current slowdown in hiring and my lack of recent flying. Got out of the military 18 months ago and have only been flying GA (10 hours total in last year). Here's some info:

MIL pilot with 4000+ total time

3800 TT/PIC

Current ATP and Med

No check ride failures

Spotless record and bachelors degree

6 DL pilot referrals

How long have folks been waiting after application submission to hear something?

Anybody in my same boat with low recency hours?
There was a time not that long ago, where semi-official policy was that DL will only review an app once annually. If anyone has more current info on that, please chime in. In addition, an internal rec (filled out on Airlineapps) will guarantee an app review. The fact you have not heard anything in 2 months does not necessarily mean they have passed you by.

AFAIK, your stats should land you solidly in the top tier (other than recency), and result in a call soon. As others have said, with a slowdown/normalization in hiring, it may take a little longer to percolate to the top of that list to get the invite.

All that said, particularly with lower recency, I would strongly recommend putting in your apps to LCC and regional airlines as well. Many mil pilots with lower recency have had to take that route, and gotten a call very quickly upon reaching 100 hours.

Best of Luck.
