During the interview, you should've faked your way through with smiles and laughs just to get past HR. And never mention anything about moving on. Once you finished IOE is when you should've applied and left long ago. Right now it's too late and it's more competitive.
Exactly what I did. Off OE in Oct, applied in Nov, interviewed in Dec, class date in May. Got in before the merger block and things became super competitive.
