With that said the constant “my airline is better” arguments are lame and it needs to end. We are all just expenses on a balance sheet. If you are at any of the major airlines I believe you will have a great career and what works for one person does not mean it works for another. If you are at a regional and happy then you are doing great too.
I know you were just responding to another poster but congratulations on making a great decision for you.
Looking forward to the Airline versus Air Line versus Airlines discussions to stop.
All I said was I left and I was happy with my decision. He essentially said I was dumb for doing that. He’s also on SW and other airline threads touting the awesomeness of AA.
It wasn’t really a “ballsy” move, IMO it was the smart one. Especially if you value stability and can overlook the shiny object of massive retirements. You can look at almost any 25 yr period at AA and see the bumpy ride pilots have had.
