You have no idea what the FAA will do. They are not the most rational actors, nor the most cutting-edge adapters, when it comes to medical considerations.
...and the (so-called) Pilot shortage is over. Hiring has stopped at some airlines, dramatically slowed at the largest ones, even shedding Pilots at some, while ATP production numbers are at a record high. The whole premise for this money grab is gone.
