Definitely don’t put any stock in that Airbus rumor—there are no plans to do that. If you want to stay in LAS and not commute, the 737 is your only option.
If you know a United pilot based there, I would talk to them about the trips, though. It may have gotten better, but initially there were a ton of redeyes which is why it is so junior. You may prefer to commute if that’s not your cup of tea.
