If there was a rigged day, the override is on top of that. No more flying different legs for free and no more rig absorption of additional legs added.
Not all LCO pays double. A 9TFP day could well be a combination of P and D legs. That's also been my experience.
LCO has been very lucrative for me as well, though as an AMER, I expected that, as we rarely get move up.
I'm up 20tfp for LCO vs only around 10tfp under DRP this month, and that's on 3 pairings.
