I'll just add that even without growth plans, our retirement numbers are much higher than deltas. delta's wave has come and gone. so just take a closer look at progression without growth and you'll find that it is still a better outlook here.
Do you have a good comparison throughout the future years on retirement numbers between Delta and United? The only one I've found so far is in
this post, which seems to show a ~1,500 retirement advantage at United until 2055.
