Very true. For the most part the ONLY incentive to ever upgrade is the pay scale (Building PIC time I guess is a consideration depending on the situation/future endeavors.) Schedule won't be better (unless you live in base and reserve isn't a senior pick), seat time is mandatory (3-4 crew compliment), unsure but OT may not be as accessible if you desire it, getting yanked around because you're a high demand low density asset and paid to manage and overall responsibility normally doesn't add to longevity. Need to be in charge than that's a plus.
