The YF vaccine has been around since forever. It is a live attenuated vaccine, so there is a negligible, but near-but-non-zero chance you might actually get a YF-like illness from it, but it is well proven in the 80+ years they've been using it. It confers life long immunity.
As for YF itself, you don't want it.
I was healthy in my 20’s and felt like death the night of my shot. High fever. Totally fine by the next morning. That means I’m immune now though, right?
