The passenger version of the 777 can cover the distance from China but not the Freighter. Boeing's web site advertised the following data:
777 Freighter 4,885 NM 226k Payload
747 400 4,450 NM 248k Payload
747 800 4,420 NM 280k Payload

I think the main difference here is that these are MAX Payload figures, we fly KIX-MEM and usually carry a full (or close) bag of gas and maybe 100-150K payload. I think the 777F will be able to carry a load from China-CONUS and the figures I have heard on comparisons with legs such as KIX-MEM vs. the MD11 are 20% more freight, 30% less fuel. YMMV. Just ideas I have heard tossed around, like others have said I am not a 777F expert.
