Yes, there’s certain hurry to get into class and seniority, but there’s also some kind of caution to be taken. If you rush and fail, you would kick yourself up to wait 3 months.
Did you actually read my entire post?.... "
"assuming you can feel comfortably ready to answer questions" Before you dismiss what I say as terrible terrible advice (not advise) maybe consider the possibility that OP has already been preparing for a possible interview which is why I make the suggestion that IF they are ready they should consider the earlier interview opportunity.

To the OP, class dates are offered in order of CJO date. Only you know if you are ready for the interveiw, and can balance that with any seniority 'hit'. If you have done your homework and prep already, and feel ready, I'd go with the soonest interview. If you have not, or have any doubt, go with the April date. Good Luck.
Agreed, Fangs said it much better than I did. Competitiveness amongst your interview class is not a consideration. I was more so alluding to again, anecdotal evidence, that candidates with almost identical qualifications to those hired in 23' are now being given the TBNT. That information alone would motivate me If I was ready to interview sooner rather than later. Obviously many possible factors as to the outcome which is why I will say again, take this advice with a huge grain of salt.
