Yes, but those slots are not going to come cheap or easy. There’s a premium United will have to pay for those earlier A321 slots….. By all means, I don’t think United is the only carrier fighting for those slots either….. We shall see, A330s aren’t happening though lol. That rumor needs to die.
The right move in opinion is to use near term slots to keep being certified aircraft onto property and get some kickback on delays…..
I wouldn’t be so sure about United having to pay a premium. Personally I think Airbus will bend over backwards to get United planes if that means a big deal and long term relationship. Airbus has an advantage, but they can reshuffle as needed to get United as a long term customer.
