And this is only because they started cutting costs like crazy, not increase in margins or lucrative margin business.
FedEx Net Profit by Year
2024: $3.78B (projected, Q1: $1.08B, Q2: $900M, est earnings Q3: $900M, assume $900M in Q4)
2023: $3.97B
2022: $3.83B
2021: $5.23B
2020: $1.29B

2009: $98M
2008: $494M
2007: $2.02B
2006: $1.81B
2005: $1.45B
2004: $838M
2003: $830M
2002: $710M
2001: $584M
2000: $688M
1999: $631M
1998: $503M

I mean, history says they're pretty stable...past performance doesn't dictate future outcomes, so time will tell.... How many airlines have had negative years since 1998?? And how many airlines will have negative years going forward?

Heck, SWA has been on a downward trend:
2021: $977M
2022: $539M
2023: $465M

Per Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV) Income Statement - Yahoo Finance

Are they "stable" in your eyes? Or is it doom and gloom over in Texas too?
