Certainly could be suicide, that's what Occam says. But the guy has recently been validated/vindicated and is getting a lot of media attention. So kind of a high point in his life as a professional whistleblower. There could be unrelated things going on of course. Suicide isn't always particularly rational.
you are totally missing what he just got doing and what he was going to go do. Yeah, the media was parading him around like some hero. Well, I can guarantee you the lawyers that were doing his deposition were not. They would have poked all kinds of holes in his story, and been real jerks about it, they are lawyers after all. The guy was under the impression that Boeing was an airline, not a manufacturer.
