One of the many reasons that folks stay in the WBFO seat is that a large majority of their flying is commutable. In general it is very productive flying as well.

How long it will take to hold a line as a WBFO is difficult to predict. In most time it is measured in many years. There was a brief time a little over a year ago when it was down substantially. Right now Boeing has slowed down the pace of their deliveries on the 787 dramatically, so rather than getting more 787s in May it is looking more like Sept or later. If Boeing can get back to a reasonable delivery pace we should be getting 1 787 a month for a long time. Once those start coming you will see a major uptick in the movement on the Widebodies and that creates unbelievable movement all down the seniority list.
