It's not about that . Even thousands of Delta pilots commuting home from work get bumped ,or denied I should say , by other Delta non revs that are leisure traveling . Was just including Delta/9E together since both commute on each other's metal ,which Delta owns or pays the lease payments on the RJ's anyway.
Somebody getting to or from work is already preferred on the jumpseat by several days over personal use.
Aside from that, their travel is no more important than another delta employee traveling for leisure.
