I had a convesation with a NO voting LEC rep going into 2015 TA1. The rep stated a very similiar stance that we had SOME pilots using sick leave right up to 270 hours and probaly abusing the system. Before you get upset, this rep was pilot advocate and not a friend of the CPO or management. Some examples of the possible abuse where pilots white slipping trips to get them within less than an hour of 270 hours of sick time, on a yearly basis. You can choose to believe what you want but I took this rep at their word.
