Or.

Allow employee to select one additional passrider (2 total) in lieu of buddy pass/parents/children. Most folks I know rarely have their parents use their benefits or are now deceased. Could we have more allotment once parents pass? Additionally, there are thousands of employees at DL who do not/cannot have children or have close relationships with someone not defined in their vertical family tree (Aunt, Uncle, Sister/Brother, best friend, etc.) Should those employees be denied having more than one passrider becuase they don't have kids? The current system feels antiquated and not reflective of how many folks describe their chosen family. Family is more than just your parents and off-spring. Allowing employees more choices in selecting their passriders feels like a long overdue change
Did your parents ever mention that life isn’t fair? Not everyone gets the memo, so I don’t want to make assumptions. But if this is a battle you want to fight, go for it. Along the way, maybe you could work on the tax code, public school funding, military service, government benefits, FMLA, nepotism laws, the ADA et al.

I have no interest in my ALPA reps wasting any negotiating time or effort on pass travel for Delta’s 100k employees, but I’m just one pilot.
