Doesn’t sound like good news to me. Probably not good if you’re at the bottom of the list. I don’t think furloughs will happen. But those at the bottom may be there awhile. I’m still surprised UA hasn’t stopped hiring immediately.
Why would we stop hiring? Planes will be coming (albeit slower then planned), retirements are happening and new hires are cheaper then any senior pilots who take unpaid leave(s).
