Default fdx anc dp 83/26apr true cost

While waiting for the Kentucky Derby to start, did some figuring on ANC dp 83/26Apr. The capt flew the whole pairing(on reserve, good on ya), while the f/o portion was divided up into 3 different pairings, ANC 2115/26Apr, the disputed part, assigned on reserve(good on ya), LAX 2064/26Apr, and ANC2116/29Apr. If the trip had flown as scheduled, the cost to the company would have been approx $15926(I assumed 10 yr wb capt and 5 yr wb f/o for pay). Here’s what it actually cost the company to get the flights filled:

ANC2115/26apr: pay $5367(40:19hrs), dh bank $4246 = $9613
LAX2064/26apr: pay $6353(47:45), dh bank $11036 = $17389
ANC2116/29apr: pay $5594(40:01), dh bank $6147 = $11741
Total $38743-9813(original capt’s pay) =$28930(not including some extra hotel rooms, override, and something else I’m sure I’m forgetting).

Now, you could argue that 2 of the f/o slots were assigned to reserve pilots, which is true, but there is still a dh cost to complete the flights of $21429. To a billion dollar company, it probably doesn’t seem like a whole lot of money, but with 15 dp’s in ANC in May, it could add up. If we could get guys not to fly these things(just like the ANC guys/gals are doing now), and the cost to the company goes up to fill them, maybe, just maybe we could give the psit some pull that would enable them to have some teeth in regards to improving our pairings.
ps, not an accounting major, so there are probably some math mistakes, feel free to point them out.
