Hartford doesn't require proof/medical assessments, only medical assessment required is the fact that you can't hold a 1st class medical.

Yes, they will make you apply for state disability and all that, and it will take a while to process those. But they will retro pay the months you missed when all that is done.

If a pilot doesn't have a Dave Ramsey-style 6 month emergency fund, now would be a good time to start saving for one, as we all are one trip and fall away from losing our jobs. Thankfully our LTD is now at a point where losing your medical is not financially destructive event.
