Been using the Bose X for 4 years now, in both the Shorts 360 and Dash 8-100 (not the Q series). It's perfect for the Shorts. As a matter of fact, all the FOs that have tried out my pair have ended up getting their own. But in the Dash, even though it's not the quietest turboprop, I felt the X was a bit of overkill at times. During long flights I've found myself taking off my headset and putting on the company provided telex lollipops with earplugs during cruise to prevent the inevitable "headset hair". After all, it's all about how you look
outside the cockpit right?
I've tried out the QC2 with the uflymike adapter in both airplanes and I didn't like it because 1) it didn't provide enough noise reduction in the Shorts and 2) as an FO in the Dash, I hated having the cord come across my body. I guess the second problem wouldn't be so bad once I upgrade.
