They'll work with you if you need specific days off, but it better be for a good reason. In my class, one of the guys was able to swap with a more junior guy (who had a later training schedule) so he could get married. "Hey, Buffett's coming to town and I need that weekend off!" is probably not going to cut it.

I don't know how they'll consider that you're in the process of moving. Just ask on day 1 or 2 when you get there. Hopefully they can accommodate you.
