Reminds me of a flight I did Osaka - Memphis back during the summer of Love when we got our contract.

I was RFO # 2 and met the crew for the first time in the Swissotel lobby. As we got in the van, the captain (an Anchorage guy) said, "So when are you Memphis a##holes going to quit flying DP's?" I ignored him, while silently commending him on his stellar CRM.

We got to the plane, and when I did the walk-around I found a massive oil leak on the # 3 engine. We took a 4 hour delay while they fixed it - this before starting a 15-hour duty day.

Captain grumbled at me, "You know, you could have kept the oil leak to yourself...." Ahh... tell me again the superiority of the Anchorage breed....
