I don’t think they mean “pilot to pilot base swap side deal.” I understood that they essentially wanted an AE with no posted positions, for the hypothetical situation where there are no positions needed for new hires. Not sure if that’s a thing, but in that scenario the senior person would still get the swap.

edit: seems simple enough, but I also don’t think delta can limit it to swaps only. So Delta potentially eats a training bill if the senior person wants to change planes to a diff plane and base. Also creating another secondary opening that may require training.

Any other swap system would have to get some kind of Union approval and I’m sure whatever process they came up with would protect seniority.
