Your logic is no different than a senior pilot wanting to displace a junior pilot on a category that is unavailable for bidding at the time. The scenario mentioned above, which works great at other companies, is a zero sum situation. Required training is not available and so the senior pilot is not able to bid that category. This shouldn’t impede flexibility between like-categorized pilots looking to simply swap locations.
