DL JV's (joint venture; aka skyteam partners) out a very large percentage of their international flying. And it's not hard to have widebodies do some domestic flying.
IF this goes down as you suggest, there wouldn't be a large number of over 65 pilots before ICAO changed the age.
However, the threat by GOP Senators to grind things to a halt if the Mayorkas impeachment is tabled is growing.
