I may be biased because of mil. service but what I've learned (and a lot of people in this country forget, including politicians) is a) don't forget about your values b) stand up to bullies c) be patriotic. That means, no, I'm not gonna support the Reds because some guy wants to be President and feels cozy with them. The way I remember it, I'm an AMERICAN first, and AMERICA is my country, not Russia, not China, not Iran or whatever.

So when one of those thugs attacks my FRIENDS and ALLIES, I raise my hand and say "how can I help"? and team up, TEAM UP I say with my countrymen and women to help them. I don't make foreign policy decisions based on DOMESTIC politics. You don't like Hunter B? Don't vote for his dad. You don't like Donald? Don't vote for him. America is what it is, or was what it used to be, because we knew right from wrong.

So what's this gotta do with UAL flying to TLV? I guess I try to hark back to earlier times where you knew what you signed up for, and you knew your limitations. No-one is forced to do it. Fly, don't fly, it's your choice. Objectivelly, the regulatory authorities there are doing a good job determining when to fly or not fly. I guess a lot of people forgot how american planes flew in far more dangerous places during the cold war, trying to keep people away from harm or maintain commerce etc. Imagine having to fly to Beirut. Or whatever.

We've gone soft and unless we wake up and GATHER TOGETHER as a NATION we're gonna fail. And by the way, any sensible person, relatively smart would understand that Iran wants no war. This is a charade. You think if they wanted a real war they'd call us 3 days earlier? Or when they attacked our bases in Iraq in 2020 they had "accidentally" let slip of their plans so that our bases were evaquated? These guys are fanatics, but not stupid. And I am at awe at how Israel has managed not to mess them up once and for all. Don't get me wrong. Diplomacy should always come first, I'm just saying, as an observation, I was surprised.
