The 500 hours do not need to be in the aircraft to which you’ll be upgrading. It’s simply off probation and 500 hours of flight time at UAL in any aircraft. Any probationary pilot can now bid, and be awarded, upgrade. They just won’t go to school until those two requirements are met.
