To follow up on the previous question about the Crew Choice schedule- what does that actually mean? For the CC60 for example, does that mean you select the days that you're available to work out of the 4 month period? Have been trying to figure out if this could be a good fit with my spouses schedule, kids and side career being able to bid ahead of time and have known dates in advance, or how this really works. Thanks for any clarification of what the CC actually means in practice.
I left NJA in 2017 (medical) but I think it's still the same. I worked the CC 72 for almost the entire 13 years I was there. CC72 means
averaging 18 days per month over a 4 month period. They can borrow up to 2 days so you work 20 days one month and 16 the next month. You can ask for certain days off but that's it. You have very little control over what days you work. It sounds like you'd be much better off on the 7/7 or 8/6 where you can see what days you'll be working for several months out. The only time those fixed schedules change is for training events, they can adjust days worked to accomodate training.
