I got the "I'll try, but no promises" answer. 6 weeks later, after multiple personal visits/phone calls/emails to the OE scheduler, and a personal visit with the fleet captain (who said he couldn't do anything for me and to talk to the OE scheduler), I was still sitting at "maybe". On the Friday before the Monday the movers showed up, I had my new-guy meeting with the chief pilot. He said "anything we can do to help you out?" Why yes, there is...his answer (100% true): "if you haven't heard anything by Monday (the day the movers were supposed to be there!), give me a call and I'll see what I can do". YGTBSM...I almost left my ID on his desk I was so p-ssed off.

It worked out, but I didn't find out until Sat that I would actually have those days off. Bottom line...everyone talked a good game, but it was like pulling teeth to get it to actually work out...and at the very last minute. Work it early and don't let up.
Just curious how long ago that was. I know they changed out OE schedulers at some point and from what I have seen she has been very accommodating. I didn't ask for much, only a couple of specific days, but it was a simple task. I know a couple other people that needed a week off after their LOE and was granted with little hassle. Both times it never made it past the OE scheduler to get handled.

Hopefully they fixed the glitch...
