I agree. Alaska will definitely have more use for them than HA would have. HA just doesn't have the destinations to justify an extensive WB fleet in greater numbers.

AK can use them for HI flights, whatever trans-Pacific routes , and also West Coast to East Coast flights. I believe AK does transcons to NYC, TPA and probably a few other routes that could use a WB. HA just doesn't have the type of network to be a 44 WB airline. Unfortunately, while the many pilots thought a mainland network made sense to hedge against downturns, management just didn't see it that way.
