I don’t disagree with your general premise (that the average NBCA makes more than the average WBFO), but your numbers are a bit off.
NBCA only makes $350 around year 8-9, while a WBFO makes $260 (25550/98) in year 3.
Anecdotally, I think WBFO is a lot less stressful.
That’s hard to put a dollar sign on.
The original question was about QOL, not money. Aside from time zone havoc, WBFO is the best QOL I can imagine from pretty much any job.
Yes was lazy didn’t look up exact rates 😁. If you can sleep on planes and adjust to sleep well in different zones it’s in my opinion amazing. Less maintenance, less turns, swap, deadheads, weather (due to less turns ) etc etc. I love it
. It’s been a great qol for me and it would take a lot for me to upgrade
