It gets announced in July right before United starts new hire classes. My bet is that the announcement is July 22nd, the day before new hire classes start up on the 23rd.
I can think of zero times in the history of United that it has tied any fleet announcement to a new hire class. There is no reason to. Any new announcement will be after the FAA gets done United.
