I have to say Hawaiian's response in regards to them reduced hiring has been pathetic. Them estimating a lower required workforce is not the issue but it has been their response since. Somehow it took nearly a month for them to "determine" people's list in the pool. Once this number was finally determined, to state they are committed to hiring from the pool in 2024 and 2025 but under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will CJO's be extended beyond 1 year is completely classless! You're clearly not committed to hiring from the pool! We will probably see an issue in 2025 where so many prospective pilots who have been patient and committed to Hawaiian Airlines have their CJO's expire and people who have been waiting half the amount of time will get offers. Hawaiian needs to take a chapter out of Southwest's book and extend those CJO's and show some faith in people who have invested time and effort into them! I understand it's conditional but that doesn't negate the use of common sense and humility.
