Have you been in an A220 cockpit yet? I've talked to a few guys who still haven't seen the inside of an A220. The legacy Airbus cockpit looks archaic in comparison. I agree that the airplane has serious teething issues, but the route variety should increase as more airframes arrive. Plus, with Robin working at Airbus now, perhaps he can push for the newer A220-500 version since he was begging for it for many years prior to his departure. Now he can sell the airplane to JB and others if it gets the development green light. The bigger A220-500 will put the A320 CEO & NEO to shame in terms of its lower CASM. Future fleet mix could be A220-300, A220-500 and A321 NEO/LR/XLR (unless Carl Icahn disagrees of course).
