Being employed by FedEx Express makes you eligible to apply for any job openings within that division as in INTERNAL applicant, and that applies to Crew member positions as well. You must have completed your minimum obligation to that particular job (the corporate minimum is one year, some positions require more) and you must meet the published requirements for the Crewmember position (check the website). If you have met the qualifications, you are guaranteed, as an INTERNAL applicant, an interview. You're not by any means guaranteed a job - - only an interview.

The tough part is maintaining current flying experience while holding the FedEx Express permanent position. Which reminds me, another "gotcha" is the position must be permanent, either part-time or full-time, and not a temporary or seasonal or casual job.
Good luck.

Good luck.
Tony is correct in everything he said, one other thing to remember is if you are hired as an internal any vacation longevity that you build up will go in the toilet the day you report to BI.not a big deal if you only spend a year, I know a guy who worked for 15 years before he was hired, he started over at zero for vacation. You can transfer anywhere in the company, and take your vacation with you except as a pilot, because our union took care of us.
