Management is trying to save money. First the took away our Flight Deck Wi-Fi with no return date (rumor is September after thunderstorm season is over they will implement a cheaper satellite based system). Then they took away Orientation. And now they're no longer providing K-cups in the crew room due to budget constraints. Maybe this is the effect of the higher pilot pay rates.
We had a company email a couple months ago saying Envoy plans to continue hiring the rest of the year and into next. I am going to recurrent in three weeks and will see what rumors I can unearth in the training center.
I just got hired at Envoy and it from talking with some of the pilots around the HQ it definitely sounds like aren’t hurting.
A few pilots echoed that an Envoy CLT base was a year into negotiations and would expect it within the next year or two. An absorption of PSA and Piedmont was imminent due to the cost of flying the 145s and as soon as Piedmont gets its deliveries of 175s that Envoy would just absorb them.
They all said that soon as that happens It only made since for American to absorb Envoy. Apparently Delta is working on negotiations to absorb Endeavor already.
