I would, however, apply the correct rejected takeoff procedure, which does not involve any slamming. It does involve RTO autobrakes, or max manual braking. Max manual braking applies the greatest break pressure (slightly more than RTO autobrakes), but RTO brakes provide the shortest stopping distance, given the time interval to full application.

It's a procedure, not a melodrama.
