I would be worried if he wasn't talking about us.
He's been saying for awhile that the ULCC model is on its way out of the US.
One possible scenario is that he's trying to shift the narrative in his favor in order for his company to acquire one of the smaller airlines in the future.
Let's say that hypothetically speaking we exit the ULCC market later this year, it would be a much more difficult argument for the DOJ to win a lawsuit blocking a merger.
The poors are not a protected class when it comes to air travel. NK could change it's business model next week to an exclusively premium service airline and the DOJ couldn't do jack to stop it.
