Curious to see how the next ones play out. As someone mentioned earlier, 30-50 pilots have been retiring each month, BS said the next AEs will begin staffing us for 2025, and lastly, it’s the first AE since the age 65/67 issue has been settled. I’m cautiously optimistic we could begin to see some decent movement again.
Concur for all the reasons you mention, plus deliveries on both the 330 and 350. Not including retirements over the last couple of months, there are over 200 WB A retirements on those two fleets alone over the next year.
They will likely meter it out over several bids though. With monthly bids, I doubt we’ll see a MOAB again anytime soon.
(historically, each WB captain retirement generates 7 training events, so there will be tons of movement regardless.)
