Are we confident it’s human excrement? I mean that certainly has more shock value, but Occam’s Razor tells me folks aren’t cleaning up after their dogs or the strays. I’ve seen plenty of dogs poopin, but never anyone popping a squat on the sidewalk.
Some of it is for sure human I have witnessed a female vagrant squat on the sidewalk and let er rip. I had to step over a flowing stream of urine to continue down the sidewalk and avoid the stench.
